Introducing Maritime Museum
The Quanzhou Maritime Museum in the Fengze District of Quanzhou, Fujian, is the only museum in China specialising in overseas relations. Established in 1959, through its comprehensive and valuable display of historical relics relating to overseas transportation, the museum reflects the development history of the major Eastern port of the Middle Ages—Citong or Zaytun (刺桐). It also showcases the important role that Quanzhou played in economic and cultural exchanges with foreign countries.

What to expect at Maritime Museum
There are seven permanent thematic exhibitions in the Maritime Museum. Here one can find a plethora of precious relics, for example, a sunken Ship dating back to the Song Dynasty and related artifacts; wooden, iron and stone anchors; hundreds of Islamic, Christian and Hindu stone inscriptions from the Song and Yuan Dynasties; ceramics from various periods, üzerinde 200 ship models from different historical times; folk instruments used for overseas communication, vb.

How to get to Maritime Museum
• Otobüse binin 19, 22, 25, 41, 44, 202, 203, 604, K502 to Qiaoxiang Gym.
• Take bus X2 to Quanzhou Resource Market.
• Rent a car/bus from GGC to enjoy a hassle-free private transfer from hotels in Quanzhou to Quanzhou Maritime Museum.
