Located in Chun’an County, Thousand Islet Lake is two-hour drive from downtown Hangzhou. Thousand Islet Lake is the largest man-made lake in east China. What is marvelous about Thousand Islet Lake is the crystal-clear water and the 1,078 islets scattering in the lake for which it was named for.

What to expect at Thousand Islets Lake

There used to be a village with people living in right where the lake is now. After the construction of the huge dam of Xin’an River Hydro-power Station, the former village was flooded and villagers were evacuated. Those islets now in the lake were actually mountains. Now the site of the village still rest underwater, well-preserved.

Di antara 1,078 pulau-pulau kecil, pulau-pulau kecil yang lebih menarik antara lain seperti Pulau Yueguang, Pulau Shenlong, Pulau Longshan dan Pulau Meifeng, yang dikatakan sebagai titik terbaik untuk melihat panorama Danau Seribu Pulau.

Cara menuju Danau Seribu Pulau
• Naik kereta cepat dari Stasiun Kereta Api Hangzhou Timur dan turun di Stasiun Kereta Api Qiandaohu (sekitar 1 jam). Kemudian sewa kendaraan ke dermaga untuk perahu pesiar.
• Naik bus jarak jauh dari Terminal Bus Hangzhou Barat, Terminal Pusat Transportasi Penumpang Hangzhou atau Terminal Bus Kereta Api Hangzhou Timur menuju Stasiun Chun’an Qiandaohu.
