Begin your day with a serene cruise along the Li River, a picturesque 83-kilometer journey from Guilin to Yangshuo. Often compared to a masterpiece of Chinese ink painting, the river is flanked by dramatic limestone peaks, hidden grottoes, and charming rural life. This natural wonder, formed from limestone deposited on the seabed 360 million years ago, bears an uncanny resemblance to a giant elephant drinking from the Li River. Afterward, ascend Yaoshan Mountain by chairlift, enjoying panoramic views of the surrounding rock formations, flora, and streams. This 903.3-meter peak is Guilin’s highest. Immerse yourself in the local culture with a tea-picking and making experience at the Yaoshan Tea Plantation. Conclude your day with a visit to the impressive Jingjiang Prince’s Mansion, a scaled-down replica of Beijing’s Forbidden City.
