Introducing Zhaojun Tomb
Zhaojun Tomb, also known as “Qingzhong” (Green Tomb), is at the 9 Hohhot'un güney banliyölerinden kilometrelerce uzaklıkta. Neredeyse bir alanı 100 mu, Wang Zhaojun'un türbesi olduğu düşünülmektedir (Wang Qiang) Batı Han Hanedanı. Şimdi İç Moğolistan Özerk Bölgesi'nin önemli bir korumasıdır.

Zhaojun Mezarı'nda ne beklenmeli

Wang Zhaojun, antik Çin'in Dört Güzeli'nden biri olarak biliniyordu. Han Hanedanı imparatoru tarafından, evlilik yoluyla Han hanedanıyla dostane ilişkiler kurmak amacıyla Xiongnu İmparatorluğu'ndan Chanyu Huhanye ile evlenmek üzere gönderildi. O dönemde Han ve Xiongnu halkları arasındaki dostane ilişkinin büyük ölçüde sorumlu olduğuna inanılır. In commemoration of her achievements, the local people built a tomb in her honour.

Assuming the shape of an overturned cape, the tomb was built with earth. Zhaojun Tomb is 33 metre yüksekliğinde, bir alanı kaplamaktadır 13000 metrekare. The cemetery centers on the grave. There is a path, decorated archway, stone carving and bronze statue in front of the grave. Of which, the 4-metre-high large bronze statue weighing 5 tons showing Chanyu and Wang Zhaojun riding side by side on horseback is very vivid and splendid. There’s a 100-meter stele corridor, in which a great number of inscriptions related to Zhaojun Tomb since the Qing Dynasty are displayed. Zhaojun Goes Beyond the Frontier is a phrase used to describe her departure from Han territory and her arrival in the Mongolian grasslands. It is regarded as a landmark event in Chinese history and is the subject of much poetry, theatre, literature, and music.

Zhaojun Tomb is nicknamed Green Tomb which evolved from a local legend which states that when the wintery frost sets in and the plants are reduced to a withering yellow, the grass on Wang Zhaojun’s tomb miraculously remains green!

• No'lu otobüsü alın. 44, 209, 127 or Suburb 107 and get off at Zhaojun Bowuyuan Station.

Additional travel advice on Zhaojun Tomb
• Visitors can enjoy live dance shows held in the Tent of Chanyu (chief of the Xiongnu) from April to October. Each show lasts 45 dakikalar.
