مسجد تشونغتشينغ

Chongqing Mosque is one of the oldest and major mosques in Chongqing. تغطي مساحة من 4500 أمتار مربعة, it is built in the style of the Arab architecture and situated in the Muslim Mansion on Zhongxing Road of Yuzhong District.

Chongqing Mosque was first built in Wanli period during 1593-1597 of the Ming dynasty. It was destroyed in the aerial bombing by Japan during the Second World War and reconstructed afterwards as the major mosque in wartime capital Chongqing by the central government. The last time it’s being refurnished was in 1983.

Chongqing Mosque has been dedicated into the Muslim activities and has made great contribution to the local Muslim community. Next to the Chongqing Mosque, there builds a professional school that specializes in teaching Islamic religion and culture.
