Kunming Nancheng Mosque is the largest mosque in the city. Built in Tang Dynasty (618-907) and renovated and reconstructed for many times in Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), the mosque was designed under the influence of the Buddhist culture, showing the architectural style of Chinese temples.
In the last hundred years, Nancheng Mosque has become the center of Islamic activities in Yunnan.
