Famous worldwide as the “Ice City,” Harbin transforms every winter into a breathtaking wonderland of glowing ice sculptures during its world-renowned Ice and Snow Festival, offering unforgettable culinary traditions and rich cultural charm year-round. Upon arrival at the airport/train station, your friendly tour guide will greet you and whisk you away in a private vehicle to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of your day at leisure.

Day 2 Harbin | Sun Island, Saint Sophia Cathedral, Central Street, Ice and Snow World
Your Harbin adventure begins with a crisp morning spent exploring the vast snow-draped landscapes of Sun Island, home to colossal, intricately carved white snow sculptures, the iconic 20-meter-tall “Mr. Snowman,” and exhilarating snow slides. After lunch and prayer at Daowai Mosque, immerse yourself in the city’s rich Sino-Russian heritage as you admire the majestic Byzantine domes of Saint Sophia Cathedral and stroll along the lively, cobbled Central Street. Finally, bring your day to a grand conclusion at Harbin Ice and Snow World, where massive ice palaces, glowing pagodas, the towering Snowflake Ferris Wheel, and exhilarating 500-meter-long LED-lit ice slides transform into a dazzling, multicolor winter wonderland as night falls.

Day 3 Harbin | Mingdu Ski Resort, Winter Swimming, Ice Lantern Show
Hit the slopes at Mingdu Ski Resort, convenient suburban alpine destination located just 20 minutes from downtown Harbin. Tucked within scenic, snow-covered hills, the resort features 4 meticulously groomed trails designed for all skill levels – ranging from gentle slopes with a dedicated children’s learning area for beginners to steeper tracks for seasoned skiers. Next, head to the frozen Songhua River to witness a unique and thrilling local spectacle: fearless brave winter swimmers plunging into open ice pools amidst the freezing air. Finally, end your day mesmerized by the enchanting Ice Lantern Show at Zhaolin Park, where delicate, hand-carved ice sculptures and intricate frozen lanterns come alive with a radiant spectrum of colorful, glowing lights.

Day 4 Harbin – China Snow Town | Transfer to China Snow Town
After breakfast, embark on a roughly 5.5-hour, 300km journey to China Snow Town. Known for its seven-month-long winters and snow depths reaching two meters, this enchanting destination is a photographer’s paradise. Snow-covered houses shaped like animals and mythical creatures dot the landscape, while birch trees, cedar forests, and traditional architecture offer endless photo opportunities. Once checked in, immerse yourself in winter wonderland activities like skiing, dog sledding, and snow sculpting. As the day winds down, capture the breathtaking beauty of the town’s sunsets and illuminated night scenes.

Day 5 China Snow Town – Harbin | Transfer to Harbin
Embark on a challenging yet rewarding 3.5-hour trek through the snowy forest from Snow Valley to Yangcao Hill. This 10km journey will lead you to the breathtaking winter wonderland of Yangcao Mountain, the highest peak in the area at 1,200 meters. Witness the mesmerizing sunrise from its summit and immerse yourself in the tranquility of the snow-covered landscape. After taking in the stunning views, descend the mountain via an exhilarating combination of snowmobile and traditional horse-drawn sledge back to China Snow Town. Transfer back to Harbin.
