Day 1 Arrive Chengdu

Upon arrival at the airport or train station, your friendly expert local guide will greet you and whisk you away in a private vehicle to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of your day at leisure.

Day 2 Chengdu | Panda Base, Renmin Park, Wuhou Temple, Jinli Street

Start your day with an unforgettable encounter at Chengdu Panda Base, a world-renowned sanctuary dedicated to the preservation of these beloved creatures. Established in 1987, this non-profit facility provides pandas with a natural environment, complete with bamboo groves, streams, and ponds. Witness the enchanting spectacle of pandas of all ages as they frolic, feed, and nurture their young. After a leisurely lunch and prayer at Huangcheng Mosque, relax at Renmin Park and enjoy Chengdu’s leisurely lifestyle with a cup of tea at a local teahouse. Continue your journey with a visit to Wuhou Temple, an ancestral temple commemorating heroes from the state of Shu during the Three Kingdoms period. End your day with a stroll along Jinli Ancient Street, a bustling street dating back to the Qin Dynasty. Admire the charming old buildings and explore diverse shops selling fascinating handicrafts.

Day 3 Chengdu – Jiuzhaigou | Huanglong Scenic Area

Embark on a scenic bullet train journey to Jiuzhaigou (approximately 1.5 hours), a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its breathtaking beauty. Immerse yourself in a vibrant landscape where emerald lakes reflect snow-capped peaks and cascading waterfalls create a mesmerizing symphony. Upon arrival, explore the enchanting Huanglong Scenic Area, one of China’s most captivating natural wonders. Huanglong, aptly named “Yellow Dragon,” is a mesmerizing expanse of travertine terraces that shimmer gold in the sunlight, resembling a mythical creature in slumber. Wander through the Yellow Dragon Valley, where crystal-clear pools create a captivating spectacle amidst a lush forest, showcasing the unique turquoise terraces that have earned Huanglong its well-deserved reputation.

Altitude Sickness Notice: Visiting Huanglong Scenic Area involves higher elevations ranging from approximately 3,100 meters at the main entrance to over 3,500 meters at the iconic Five-Color Ponds, which can cause mild altitude sickness due to reduced atmospheric oxygen levels. To make your visit comfortable and safe, walk at a steady, relaxed pace along the boardwalks, wear warm layers to guard against cold weather, stay hydrated, and avoid sudden physical exertion. Carrying a portable oxygen canister and simple pain relievers is recommended, and if you experience severe symptoms like intense headaches, persistent dizziness, or nausea, stop to rest, use oxygen, or descend to lower ground immediately.

Day 4 Jiuzhaigou | Jiuzhaigou National Park

Spend a full day immersed in the breathtaking beauty of Jiuzhaigou National Park named after the nine Tibetan villages scattered along its 35‑km valley on the edge of the Tibetan Plateau. The park’s scenery unfolds across three valleys – Rize, Zechawa, and Shuzheng – forming a striking “Y” shape. Your journey highlights its most dazzling water features, from the vibrant, multicolored waters of Five Flower Lake to the dramatic cascade of Pearl Shoal and Pearl Shoal Waterfall. As you continue, marvel at the mirror‑like surface of Rhino Lake, the tranquil charm of Tiger Lake, the tiered splendor of Shuzheng Lakes and Shuzheng Waterfall, and the shimmering reflections of Sparkling Lake.

Please note: The Jiuzhaigou National Park Shuttle Bus is the compulsory and most practical form of transport for navigating the vast park, as private vehicles are prohibited. These eco-friendly buses run continuously along the park’s main “Y”-shaped route, stopping at all major scenic spots within the Rize Valley, Zechawa Valley, and Shuzheng Valley. Upon boarding at the park entrance, your bus will head toward one of the two upper forks (Rize or Zechawa), and you will be directed to change buses at the central Nuorilang Tourist Center to complete your itinerary. While the sightseeing sequence is determined by the specific bus route you board, rest assured that all highlighted attractions specified in the itinerary will be fully covered throughout the day.

Please be aware that halal restaurants are not available within the national park. For your convenience, lunch will be a packed halal self-heating rice meal, accompanied by fresh fruit and mineral water.

Day 5 Jiuzhaigou – Chengdu | Sanxingdui Ruins, Wide & Narrow Alleys, Depart Chengdu

Take a bullet train back to Chengdu (approximately 1.5 hours). After lunch, head to Sanxingdui Ruins, a mysterious archaeological site dating back to the Bronze Age. Known for its enigmatic artifacts, including giant bronze masks, bizarre statues, and intricate gold objects, Sanxingdui offers a captivating glimpse into an ancient civilization that remains largely shrouded in mystery. Afterward, wander through the enchanting Wide and Narrow Alley, a living tapestry of Chengdu’s past. Discover the charm of traditional Sichuanese life amidst its bustling teahouses and quaint shops.
