Altitude Sickness Notice: Lhasa (3,650m / 11,975ft)

Due to the high altitude and lower oxygen levels on the Tibetan Plateau, most travelers experience mild symptoms of Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS)—such as mild headaches, fatigue, dizziness, or shortness of breath – during their first 24 to 48 hours. To ensure a safe and smooth acclimatization, please take it easy upon arrival by resting at your hotel for 3 to 4 hours, staying well-hydrated with 3 to 4 liters of water daily, avoiding strenuous activity, and skipping hot showers or hair washing on your first night to prevent catching a cold. If you experience severe, persistent headaches, vomiting, or extreme breathlessness at rest, please notify your tour guide or hotel staff immediately so medical oxygen or professional assistance can be provided.
