Day 2 Little Wild Goose Pagoda, Xian Museum, Great Mosque, Muslim Quarter

Morning visit to the 1300 year old Tang Dynasty constructed Small Wild Goose Pagoda, a perfect example of the multi-eaved square brick pagodas built in ancient China. Then you will visit Xian Museum which boasts nearly 130,000 relics that all relate to the history of Ancient China and Xian specifically. Visit the Muslim Quarter after lunch and Salat at Xian Great Mosque. The Muslim Quarter of Xian which covers several blocks with an estimated 60,000 Muslims in the region. There are about seven ancient mosques in the area, among which the Great Mosque built in 742 is most famous and popular among all. Experience a seemingly endless labyrinth of street food, restaurants and bustling local life at Xian’s Muslim Quarter.
Day 3 Terracotta Warriors & Reproduction Factory, Emperor Qin’s Mausoleum, Great Tang All Day Mall

Morning visit to the Terracotta Warriors and Horses and its reproduction factory. Considered one of the foremost archaeological discoveries of the 20th century, the 2,000-year-old Terracotta Army was discovered by accident in 1974 by local farmers digging a well. The 8,000-plus life-sized figures are arranged in vaults to guard the tomb of Qin Shihuang, the first emperor of China, a major architect of the Great Wall and unifier of China. Then you will visit the Mausoleum of Emperor Qin Shihuang which was constructed over 38 years, from 246 to 208 BC, and is situated underneath a 76-meter-tall tomb mound shaped like a truncated pyramid. Followed by a walk at the Great Tang All Day Mall, which is the largest and longest pedestrian street of tourist landscape and cultural mall in Asia.
Day 4 Bullet train to Luoyang, Longmen Grottoes, Guanlin Temple

Transfer to Xian railway station for an one hour & thirty minute bullet train ride to Luoyang. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Longmen Grottoes upon arrival. Longmen Grottoes are Buddhist cave complex consisting of more than 2300 caves and niches carved into the steep limestone cliffs over a 1km long stretch. These contain almost 110,000 Buddhist stone statues, more than 60 stupas and 2800 inscriptions carved on steles. Created over the course of approximately five centuries beginning in the year 493, these grottoes, along with the statues and inscriptions carved within, provide a window into the political, cultural, and artistic circumstances of the late Northern Wei and Tang Dynasties. Next, visit Guanlin Temple to touch a part of ancient Chinese history that is so ingrained in Chinese national identity. Guanlin Temple is the site of tomb of Guan Yu, the Chinese Martial God of Wealth who is special in China as he is venerated in the Shenist Chinese folk religion as well as all three of the major doctrines; Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism.
Day 5 Shaolin Temple, Bullet Train to Xian, Transfer to Xian Airport

Morning visit to Shaolin Temple, the origin temple of Chan Buddhism and cradle of Chinese martial art Kungfu. Shaolin Temple was first built in 495 AD. It was a royal temple built to accommodate Indian Buddhist monk Master Batuo. Later it became the center of Buddhism in China, where holy monks gathered, emperors and high-ranking officials came to visit and pay homage, and poets and scholars came to admire the beauty of this scenic place. Shaolin Kungfu is one of the ways that monks of Shaolin Temple study Chan Buddhism. Being the single most outstanding representative of ancient Chinese martial arts culture, Shaolin Kungfu is very welcomed among people of many different cultures. It is a vivid legend in the history of the human being’s civilization. After visiting Shaolin Temple, you will be transferred to Luoyang train station & board bullet train back to Xian. You will be met by your driver and transferred to Xian airport.
