Day 2 Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, Huangcheng Mosque, Wuhou Temple, Jinli Ancient Street

After breakfast at hotel, you will be transferred to Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding (40 minutes). Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, or simply Chengdu Panda Base, is a non-profit research and breeding facility for giant pandas and other rare animals founded in 1987. Here you can find rivers, lakes, brooks, ornamental green lawns and greens, wild bamboo forests which form the panda’s natural ecological environment. You can closely observe the giant pandas of different ages resting, eating and drinking, playing with each other, using enrichment toys, or watch female pandas nursing their cubs in the nursery rooms. After pray at Huangcheng Mosque, visit Wuhou Temple in the afternoon. Wuhou Temple, also called Wuhou Shrine or Wuhou Memorial Temple, is an ancestral temple in memory of Zhuge Liang, Liu Bei and other heroes in the state of Shu during the Three Kingdoms period when Chengdu was the capital of the state of Shu. Afterwards, walk along the Jinli Ancient Street. Roaming on the 550 meters long Jinli Ancient Street that is said to have been bustling since Qin Dynasty, you can admire the charming old buildings and find diverse shops selling interesting ancient handicrafts.
Day 3 Leshan Giant Buddha, Huanglongxi Ancient Town

Morning visit to Leshan Giant Buddha. Carved into the side of Mt. Lingyun, the colossal statue of Leshan Giant Buddha is over 1,300-years-old and is considered to be the largest stone Buddha in the world, and by far the tallest pre-modern statue. In 1996, the World Heritage Committee of UNESCO inscribed the Leshan Giant Buddha on their World Heritage List as a mixed cultural and natural property of the world. Visit Huanglongxi Ancient Town in the afternoon. Huanglongxi is a 1730-year-old town about 30 km from Chengdu. The town is named after the Huanglong River which makes a gentle curve in the middle of town. Admire old-style wooden facades, cobblestone alleys, and water mills at Huanglongxi Ancient Town, a historically important seat of Ming and Qing dynasty residences. Their roof, with pointed eaves, spot tiles are often encrusted with aged moss, giving them an aged look that is hard to duplicate.
Day 4 Departure from Chengdu
