The Great Wall Muslim Tour

Your guide Musa speaks fluent English, and he told us a lot about the Great Wall and Mings Tomb. He also showed us on the way a mosque and a little bit story about Muslims in Beijing. He was also very flexible with the schedule given the fact that we have small children. He also helped us to bargain in a souvenir shop - although at the end we decided not to buy that. He also took us for lunch at a restaurant with possibility to do midday prayer there.
IslamiChina management was also helping us by providing fa piao needed, even though it means delivery after our tour.
One improvement potential should be that the sedan car was too small for us, even the folded baby car can not be put inside the trunk because it was full. The trunk should be empty before any trip. As the result our feet should be folded during all the trip.

2006 IMANA Beijing Convention

Dear Mr. Shiraz Malik, Salaam Alaikum

My name is Kazim Akbar and I, my wife, daughter and grand daughter went to China in the group of Dr. Khalid Rehman. It was a wonderful trip and an extraordinary vacation. It turned out to be more like a vocational trip with immense learning experience.  I must congratulate you for planning the trip to its finest details. And full credit should also go to Mr. Yusuf and Mr. Johan of ICT tours for executing the plan effectively- like clockwork.

As a retired Army Officer, who served through two wars, I am well aware, how much it takes to plan Logistic Support for an Operation and what is involved in its execution. I can say, therefore, that planning on your part and its execution by ICT was done with Military Precision. There is so much that I can say about the finer details. But I will only mention some of the remarkable facilities that we enjoyed. We didn’t have to show our passports and register to check-in. Hotels had already received details of the guests. Our National Tour Guide gave us room keys as soon as we arrived at the hotel. We were divided in groups named after the color given to our bus. Our baggage went to to one floor accordingly. And it was taken out before check-out, and sent directly to the airport. We didn’t have to buy our ticket and get Boarding Pass. Imagine 200 people lined up for checking in at the airport and baggage weighing. It would have consumed hours standing in lines. We got our boarding pass on arrival and moved straight to the departure gate. What a VIP treatment.

Before leaving Pakistan we were apprehensive about the type of food we will get in China. We thought of carrying canned food as well. But what a surprise. We ate at Muslim restaurant in every city every day. Quality and variety of food was such that it was a treat every time. Yet some people wanted to go for Pizza and missed eating it. You might hear complaints from some disgruntled participants. I can say that these would be those of the kind who always complain and grumble. They become miserable because they see their glass half empty; unlike the happy people who see their glasses half full.

That is not all I have to say. I can go on and on describing how much was done for our enjoyment and what a great experience and education it has been for us. I must also say that our group was the luckiest to have Angela as our National Guide. We were called the ‘Brown Bus’. Angela was full of knowledge about the History and culture. But what made her dear to all of us was her warm personality and how much care she took for our comfort. She was more than a guide; she was our host and we became her pampered guests. She was there to provide help even after the day was over. Mahvish, my 19 year old grand daughter simply adored her. Angela’s personal charm made our group as one family and we would shout like children in response to every question she asked. Soon we became envy of the other groups. No other bus had the same harmony, friendship and tolerance as Brown Bus. On the last day as we said farewell to Angela; our spokesman asked what we thought of her. Answers came: She is wonderful; she is helpful, she is caring, she is affectionate, she is beautiful; she is the best guide- She is Professional. My narration would be incomplete if I don’t mention our last Local Guide. That was Mr. Yin. I called him Commnder Yin. It was amazing to see his love of romance, hear his mythical love stories, his grasp of historical knowledge and his humor. Yet he had been a military man. He created an atmosphere of participation by the Brown Bus riders. We enjoyed his stores told in his peculiar accent which we began to like very much.

At the end I would say that I and my family (We were a family of seven members) owe much gratitude to you, to Mr. Yusuf, Mr. Johan and to Angela for the most memorable vacation of our life.

Muslim Group Tour, Best of China 11 Days

Just wanted to write and let you know what a wonderful time we had on our recent trip to China (May 1st – May 13th, 2010).

Your arrangements were first class and went off without a hitch from Domestic travel, Accommodation & the buffet of dishes. We appreciated your professional advice and expert planning.

The hotels were outstanding and very comfortable. The drivers (Mr Jhang/Chen/Ghour & Yao) were formal and pleasant and the guides (Jessica/Lin/Sarah) throughout the tour were superb in terms of their in depth knowledge, personality and approachability. We had only one exception which applies to “June” who was our guide in Xian. We found that she had a negative attitude towards foreigners & we felt fairly uncomfortable with her throughout our stay in Xian.

Our stay at the Ramada Hotel in Shanghai at the end was just the tonic we needed. If ever your clients feel in need of a few days of pampering in ultimate luxury this is certainly a place to recommend.  We absolutely loved it!

We will certainly not hesitate to suggest you as a travel agent well equipped to handle a similar trip if any of our family/ friends ask us.

Beijing Shanghai Muslim Tour 6 Days Plus 2 Nights Extension

Sorry for the very late reply.

Please find enclosed our feedback on the following:

Communication with ICT sales person - Generally, the response is very fast and the information that was asked for is very informative.

Tour guide - In Beijing, Tracy is a very friendly and accommodating tour guide.  She is very knowledgeable and goes out of her way to help us. Her explanation is very clear and we have no problem understanding her.

In Shanghai, Kevin is also very accommodating and friendly.  He is very helpful and even helped us buy drinks outside of our restaurant during our dinner.  He even taught us to converse in Mandarin when ordering food!

Driver - Both the drivers in Beijing and Shanghai are very safe, competent and punctual.

Hotel - the hotels in both Beijing and Shanghai were great! We were generally happy with the location, service and breakfast menu. But we do enjoy our Beijing hotel stay as the location is great.

Meals - Meals in Beijing and Shanghai are good and in abundance! However, it will be good if the meals in Shanghai were prepared beforehand as we had to wait for some time before dinner was ready on our first night there.

Suggestions - Overall, we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly as a family.  However, there are some points that we wish to highlight.

The tour on the first day when we were brought to the Herbal Medicine Shop. The owners were quite pushy in asking us to buy their products.  When we turned them down politely, they were quite upset.  In the end, we purchased some medicine which we have no use for.

We appreciate Tracy's effort in ensuring our comfort and general well being during our stay in Beijing.  We are deeply touched by her warmth and friendliness.

Many thanks for making our stay enjoyable in China!

Golden Triangle Muslim Tour 8 Days

Yes, it has been awhile, and thank you for the well wishes.  Trust you and family are well too. We got back from all our travels 2 weeks ago, and I have posted a review on TripAdvisor as well.

We travelled in a group of 4 and did an all inclusive 8 day tour of Beijing, Xian and Shanghai with IslamiChina from 19 too 26 August 2019, and can safely say it was the best decision we made.

From the first inquiry, right upto finalisation of the tour, responses by email from Hannah and Raina were  immediate and information precise.  All questions were responded to in a very professional and friendly manner.

Our Tour guides… Betty in Beijing,  Robin in Xian, and Sasa in Shanghai were exceptional.  They were truly awesome.  They conducted the tours professionally and also cared for our safety and wellbeing throughout.  Our fondest memories of them are that they were so caring.  Special thanks to Betty and Robin.

The hotels were good all 4 and 5 star.  The food and restaurants was exceptional.

All in all it was a memorable tour, and we highly recommend IslamiChina  .

Tailor Made Xian Muslim Tour 5 Days

Assalamoalikum Hanna,

We reached home safely after our wonderful holiday in Xian, China... Thank you so much in large part to you and your company's super organization of our tour.

My personal opinion is:

1. Guide

The guide, Ms.Lulu was very very nice and helpful from the beginning of our first day till the end of our last day to the airport helped us boarding. Ms. Lulu was very knowledgeable, helpful and caring. Her local knowledge and flexibility in accommodating our various requests were well appreciated.

2. Hotels and Cruise

The hotel and cruise accommodation was four stars. The hotel was located centrally. Breakfast which was included in the package was excellent.

3. Transportation and Driver

Our interactions with the driver was very nice although my mandarin was very little I can speak because I live in Hong Kong which I can speak Cantonese 100 percent but in China except Guangzhou is Cantonese, other parts of China is spoken mandarin but I love it in anyway. However, the driver were courteous, friendly, helpful, presentable and knowledgeable about the roads and routes.

The vehicles were clean, spacious and comfortable. We managed to fit all our luggages in the car.

4. Food

As for the choice of food was very great when we entered in Muslim street/bazaar which was located next to our Grand Dynasty hotel to the requirement of being halal. After that we told the guides to let us make the selection from the menu with the understanding that if we were to cross the meal allowance, we would pay the difference.

The other option we exercised on some occasions was to accept the cash meal allowance and arrange our own meals.

We were satisfied with the above two options as it gave us flexibility.

Overall, we were highly satisfied with your services. We would certainly use your company again as well as recommend it to others.

Tailor Made Harbin & Beijing Muslim Tour 10 Days

Dear Hanna,

We have safely returned home yesterday.  Thank you so much for your great assistance.  Feedback as follows.

1) Communication with ICT sales person - Ms Hanna has been a delight to work with.  She promptly replied emails/chat messages and a great assistance to all my queries.  I will highly recommend her to anyone who would like to plan a trip with ICT.

2) Tour Guide - Ms Anna in Harbin is a bubbly guide who keeps us entertained.  She is conscientious in her work and ensures our safety and comfort everytime. We had a wonderful time and were very fortunate to have her as our guide. We treasure our memories with her.

3)  Tour Guide - Mr Valon in Beijing is a very experienced and knowledgeable guide.  His stories of ancient China opens a whole new world to us.  Thank you for giving us a competent guide who goes the extra mile to ensure our satisfaction and comfort.

4) Hotel - We stayed at Chengde Harbin Plaza Traders Hotel.  It is a moderate standard hotel. It is clean. Location is not near shopping or tourist spots but its fine for us as we were with tour the whole day.

5) Drivers - for both Harbin and Beijing are very good.  We are very blessed with getting good drivers who drives carefully and constantly reminds us to be careful getting on and off the vehicle.

6) Meals - We did not include meals in our package but are assured that we will be brought to muslim restaurants to buy our own.  All the restaurants are clean and good and not too expensive. We enjoyed trying out different cuisines.

I will gather more feedbacks from my group and certainly communicate again on any suggestions to improve your services.

Thank you once again for arranging a memorable and delightful trip for us. We will certainly contact you again for our next trip to China.

To Hanna & ICT Team. It is a great pleasure for me & my family to give you a feedback for a wonderful service & hospitality that we have received from your team, esp for our tour guide, Mrs Maureen.

Communicating & discussing in arranging the tour was a hassle free & really accommodating to our needs and changes. And your prompt reply to my inquiries & questions were exceptional. The ease of paying at our local bank also really helpful, though if internet banking is possible, it will be much more convenience.

The punctuality of your guide & driver really is appreciated. To have a guide like Mrs Maureen, is really helpful and made the tour more enjoyable & meaningful. She has quite a remarkable knowledge of the places that were visited. And willingly entertained all our questions. The fact that she is a non muslim but was able to accommodate to our muslim need & requirement really impressed us.

Mrs Maureen took an extra effort of accompanied us to our lunch on the last day of tour/transfer to disneyland, though she was not required to. It was to make sure that the driver was able to find us & also to make sure we were taken to a right restaurant. This extra effort of her really goes extra mile.

All the places that were in the itinerary really to our expectation and as to what is Shanghai - to muslim at least. The prices also reasonable for a private group tour.

Overall visiting Shanghai with your help & guide really made thing better. Thank you.

Communication with ICT Sales Person:
Very easy and all agreements and deals were tended to promptly and accurately. Salesperson is polite and very clearly understandable via email.

Tour Guide:
The tour guide in Xian was perfect. She was clearly very knowledgeable about the city, its history, food and culture. She was very accommodating, polite, friendly and was willing to tend to our needs.
The tour guide in Shanghai was also very good. Although she lacks a little in terms of experience compared to the guide in Xian, she really does her best and clearly makes an effort to give us the best experience. Overall, both tour guides gave us excellent experience.

Hotel Stay:
Very nice and clean with good heating to battle the cold weather.

Driver:
Drivers in both cities were very nice and full of smiles. Their driving skills were also very comfortable and we felt very relaxed.

Meals:
Delicious meals, especially in Shanghai. Xian’s meals were getting a bit repetitive and was very salty for our tongue, but it gave us good insights on the Chinese Muslim way of life, so it was no problem for us. If possible, vary the flavours of Xian restaurants, like in Shanghai.

Suggestions
Islamichina gave us great memories after we left China. Everything was smooth from the start to the end, and we definitely will recommend you to our friends and colleagues if they’ll be visiting China. Thank you very much!
